Guadalupe National Park

Guadalupe Mountains National Park is just located southwest of Carlsbad, NM. We passed through on our way to Deming, NM and stopped at the visitors center to explore the parks history for a few hours. The Guadalupe Mountains provide a majestic background at the visitors center and provides a oasis in the desert which surrounds it on the east and west sides. The park has campsites, many hiking trails and backpacking opportunities for those who want to explore the parks pristine wilderness areas. This park is definitely worth exploring in the spring and fall seasons when the weather is mild enough for  outdoor activities.
