Carlsbad Caverns

We arrived at Carlsbad Caverns on Friday August 3rd after a long journey across Texas. We spent the afternoon in the Caves walking down the natural entrance. Several of the elevators are being renovated making for a long wait coming out. The Caverns were just as impressive as we remembered them three years ago making for a great hike down the 800 feet and 1 and half mile distance to the Big Room. We both found the cool cave climate refreshing as the temperature outside was approaching 100 degrees.
