Barbara and I are traveling out west to California this year visiting many of our nations great national parks and state parks all along the way. During our journey it is my goal to share our adventures with you so that you can aspire to do the same one day. Gulf Island National Sea Shore & Fort Pickens, Pensacaola, FL

Barbara and I arrived at our campsite on the shores of the gulf and set up camp in beautiful Fort Pickens Campground. The images below are of Fort Pickens, Gulf Island National Seashore , Gun Batteries, and our campsite. We were very impressed with this beautiful National Seashore with it's white sandy beaches and rich historical background. Fort Pickens is a large fort with many rooms to explore surrounded by gun battery fortifications. The bird life was abundant and the natural surroundings lovely to explore.

Leaving Home
